Welcome to our Goethe-Schule (K12 Erasmus accredited) and welcome to Flensburg!
Let’s create unforgettable experiences for our students and teachers while fostering strong, lasting connections. Interested? Let’s talk and start building our partnership today!
Nestled in the picturesque north of Germany, our charming town boasts a population of around 100,000 and a stunning location right on the Baltic Sea. With its vibrant university culture and international flair, Flensburg is a gateway to both German and Danish traditions—Denmark is just a few kilometers away! Convenient travel options include good train connections to Hamburg and Hamburg Airport, as well as nearby Billund Airport in Denmark.
At our school, the Goethe School, we are passionate about collaboration and eager to explore exciting ideas, projects, and exchange opportunities with partner schools. Whether it is group exchanges, career guidance internships, or teacher job-shadowing, we are open to working together and building bridges across Europe.
The Goethe School is a modern public grammar school with a lively community of around 720 students (ages 10–19) and 60 dedicated teachers. Our students dive into languages like English, Spanish, French, and Latin, supported by state-of-the-art digital tools. With years of experience in Erasmus+ projects and a fresh Erasmus accreditation (KA 120) extending through 2027, we are ready to expand our international partner-ships to new heights!
We are looking to connect with European schools for long-term collaborations that enable meaningful stu-dent exchanges. Imagine your students (ages 15–19) joining us in Flensburg, participating in our classes, and experiencing the warm, family-like atmosphere of our school. They will live with friendly host families, im-merse themselves in our everyday life, and discover the unique customs of northern Germany. Located in a peaceful neighbourhood close to the city centre, our school offers an ideal setting for cross-cultural connections.
In addition to student exchanges, we’re excited to collaborate on virtual projects and professional exchanges, also including teacher job-shadowing.
We are also keen to establish partnerships focused on internship opportunities. If your students are seeking hands-on work experience, we’d love to help connect them with local companies in Flensburg through our strong professional network. Likewise, we are eager to support your school by helping place our students in internships across Europe (2-week duration).
Together, let’s create unforgettable experiences for our students and teachers while fostering strong, lasting connections. Interested? Let’s talk and start building our partnership today!
